Pathway to Possibilities

Pathway to Possibilities Campaign Reaches Goal

The Columbus Education Foundation is proud to share the successful conclusion of its Pathway to Possibilities Matching Gift Campaign. This major community effort raised more than $50,000 in matching funds to support scholarships for Columbus High School graduates.

Launched in October 2025, the Pathway to Possibilities campaign aimed to remove financial barriers for graduating seniors, with a focus on students pursuing careers in healthcare, mental health, and skilled trades. These fields represent both the aspirations of our students and critical needs within our community. Thanks to the generosity of donors across the community, CEF reached its matching goal and will be able to expand scholarship opportunities for Columbus High School graduates.

Scholarships funded through the campaign will support students entering college, technical schools, and certification programs in healthcare, mental health services, and skilled trades. By investing in these pathways, the Foundation is helping prepare students for meaningful careers while strengthening the local workforce.

CEF extends its sincere thanks to all donors, partners, and supporters who helped make the Pathway to Possibilities campaign a success. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on students and families for years to come.

"The Wellness Council has had an ongoing concern for the lack of services and the need for additional health and mental health providers for our county. Rural counties like Colorado County have a myriad of challenges in enticing these professionals to settle here. Our hope is through assisting in providing scholarships to graduating seniors who have a real interest in health and mental health careers, that some of these students will go on to become trained and licensed, and then return to work in their hometown.
